We are delighted to announce that as part of our continued expansion in Europe, ALS has completed the acquisition of Sanidad y Control (Sayco) in San Roque in Southern Spain.
Sayco was founded in 2007 and the team of 12 staff provide a wide range of tests and services to food growers, processors, distributors and retailers. The laboratory has recently secured ENAC accreditation for microbiological testing which provides a great foundation for future growth.
Spain has the 5th largest food and drionk industry in Europe and having a spoke laboratory well placed in the key food region of Andalucia will help ALS to reinforce its position as a major provider of testing services in Spain.
The former owners of Sayco are remaining with ALS and look foward to the exciting development opportunities that lie ahead.
