Extensive Range of Services

Over the past ten years, ALS has used modern high-tech equipment to develop and provide a wide range of accredited microbiological and chemical dairy testing services. Our services include pasteurised milk and pathogen testing. Where appropriate, tests are UKAS accredited, ensuring that your results meet legislative requirements.

Dairy Chemistry testing services include:

  • Fat by Gerber (milk, cheese, cream)
  • Moisture in cheese (Microwave method)
  • Moisture in cheese & butter (Oven drying method; UKAS accredited for cheese but not butter).
  • Dry matter and Fat in Dry Matter
  • Phosphatase in milk (A&M method)
  • Salt in cheese & butter
  • pH measurement

First Class Collection Network

Working with ALS, you are guaranteed a first class service. Our dedicated laboratory operates 7 days a week and has the support of the group’s accredited infrastructure.

With a fleet of over 50 refrigerated vans operating across the UK and Ireland, clients can be sure of easy sample collection and rapid results turnaround. Each vehicle utilises 'Quartix' vehicle tracking technology and with temperature logging on board we can ensure that all samples arrive for testing in excellent condition.
