ALS's Sittingbourne laboratory was the latest to host a successful Client Workshop, with over 20 key delegates attending the event on 20th September.
The laboratory, which is located on the Kent Science Park, carries out testing for a diverse range of clients from manufacturers across the whole of South East England.
The programme for the day included a series of informative discussions and seminars on a range of microbiological matters including 'Factors which affect the growth of microorganisms', 'Uncertainty and why repeat samples seldom give the same result', 'Key indicator organisms and pathogens' and 'Why does the laboratory report presumptive pathogen results and why don’t they always confirm?'
The day also included a practical session aimed at understanding the importance of sampling techniques and use of consumables, as well as a laboratory tour which gave the delegates a chance to meet our team of analysts and understand more about the testing process.
There was also an informative session on 'Getting the most out of Webtrieve and how to trend results' together with networking opportunities for the various client representatives.
