We are pleased to confirm that as part of its on-going strategy to develop a network of spoke laboratories in Poland, ALS has completed the acquisition of Igenic in Krakow.
At present, the Igenic laboratory focusses mainly on molecular biology including allergens and GMO. However, going forward, ALS plans to expand the facilities to include a microbiology laboratory and ultimately a sensory facility in the region.
The acquisition reinforces ALS's ambition of developing its food testing business in the large Polish market and comes on the back of recent acquisitions in Barcelona and Slovakia this year.
