Following the success of the previous event held in September, we are pleased to confirm that we will be holding another Pesticide Testing 'workshop' at our UK hub laboratory in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire on Wednesday 12th December.
This interactive event will be led by Mike Housden (Laboratory Manager) and Buddhi Dias (Section Head) and is suitable for Technical Managers, Quality Assurance Managers, importers and growers.
The outline agenda is as follows:
1. Introduction to ALS
- Global / Europe / UK / Chatteris
2. Pesticides
- What is a Pesticide?
- Current / pending legislation.
- Trends in pesticide detection
- Sampling, testing, equipment used and the theory behind detection of pesticides
3. Quality management systems / Quality Control.
4. Interpretation of data and risk assessment
5. Laboratory Tour
- Following the lifecycle of a sample from receipt to reporting.
- View many examples of the modern technology in place at Chatteris that has enabled ALS to lead the field within the UK pesticide testing market.
6. "ALSolutions"
- Review of system, including WebTrieve V2, trending, new functionality.
7. The future
- What are ALS looking at next in terms of testing, technology and equipment?
The Workshop will start at 10am and run through until 3pm and is priced at £85.00 person + VAT (including lunch).
