ALS to present at SOFHT Campylobacter seminar

Friday 5th September 2014

ALS are proud to be taking part in a forthcoming SOFHT Breakfast Club meeting that will focus on one of the most topical issues within the food industry today, that of Campylobacter.

Representing ALS will be Andy Muirhead, who has over 30 years of experience as a microbiologist working in the food testing industry. Andy will open the discussions by looking at the background to the organism, the sources and modes of transmission, recent food-borne outbreaks of campylobacteriosis and the burden of the disease on the UK.

Joining Andy in the debate will be Jeremy Hall, Group Technical Director for Bernard Matthews, and Francisco Javier Dominguez Orive, Veterinary Director and Head of Foodborne Diseases Control Unit at the Food Standards Agency.

The event is being held at SOFHT's Middleton headquartes in Staffordshire on 28th October. To book a place at the event click on the following link (www.sofht.co.uk) or call 01827 872500.
