In light of the current concerns surrounding the potential presence of the Fipronil in eggs, ALS is now able to provide its clients a service for detecting Fipronil, including its metabolites, in both eggs and meat.
The analysis, which is carried out at our Chatteris laboratory in Cambridgeshire, is currently unaccredited. Using LC-MS-MS technology we are able to achieve a reporting limit of 0.002mg/kg.
The standard lead-time for the analysis is up to 10 working days. However, a fast-track priority 3 working day service is also available (subject to demand) via our Client Services Team at Chatteris (call 01354 697028).
If you require a quotation for this analysis please contact us at [email protected]
Further information on Fipronil is available via the Food Standards Agency website:
