ALS is pleased to announce our new UKAS accredited method – AOAC Determination of Rapid Integrated Total Dietary Fibre (AM/C/311) at ALS Food Chatteris.

This procedure provides the most robust and up to date determination of dietary fibre using gravimetric and HPLC procedures to determine rapid integrated total dietary fibre (RITDF) as defined as including resistant starch and non-digestible oligosaccharides by the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC). The procedure is based upon AOAC method 2017.16, the limit of reporting is 0.5g/100g and it is UKAS accredited for food products and raw materials.

This procedure is an alternative to our AM/C/309 AOAC985.29 methodology for use in cases where low molecular weight dietary fibre such as fructooligosaccharides (FOS) or inulin are present, as well as resistant starches not captured under AOAC985.29.

If you wish to discuss the methodology, or have any queries regarding this test, please contact our Client Services Team at Chatteris at [email protected] or on 01354 697 028.
