ALS Pesticide Laboratory 'Open Days' a great success

Friday 9th June 2017

ALS's pesticide and contaminants testing laboratory at Chatteris in Cambridgeshire was the venue this week for a number of client 'Open Days'.

The Open Days were attended by technical representatives from a wide range of food categories, including salad growers, vegetable producers, bakery manufacturers and babyfood manufacturers. Hosting the event was ALS's Laboratory Manager, Mike Housden, who gave a presentation showcasing the site's testing capabilties.

Guests were then given a tour of the laboratory by Principal Analyst Patrick McCabe (pictured below) and a chance to view the vast array of GS-MS and LC-MS machines which enable ALS to offer one of the most comprehensive pesticide test screens in the UK.

The events concluded with a question and answer session which gave clients the opportunity to raise specific queries with Mike.

Feedback on the Open Days, which were free of charge for ALS clients, has been extremely positive and in view of the high demand from clients we will be running similar events later in the year.
